In January of 2011, Greg Hartle sold and/or gave away all his worldly possesions –– aside from the clothes on his back, ten dollars, and a laptop –– and embarked on a three year exploration of the United States, with the plan of working, bartering, hitchhiking, riding the rails, and seeing what’s become of the so-called American Dream.  His journey started in downtown Seattle, Washington, at Pike Place Market, and ended after all fifty states had been visited and more than 30,000 miles had traveled.
